Learning About Lighting, Materials, importing assets, and timelines!


Created a new level for our second assignment! Added a lot of cool stuff into the level and created a few cool new items

  • Created a New Level
  • Added a simple terrain
  • created a water material that absorbs red light and has moving waves!
  • imported five assets from polyhaven!
  • imported four materials from polyhaven!
  • created a simple house!
  • added different materials to see how they interact with lighting
  • added light sources to my house
  • subtracted from polygons to add windows and a door frame
  • added a door that opens once you get close
  • messed with the lighting to add a nicer atmosphere

I thoroughly enjoyed this weeks project and gained some refreshers on how to really get into unreal engines material and lighting systems!
